Balance and Contrast

Triptych
This triptych was taken outside of my house on hamilton st. The street is fairly dark but still has plenty of light, I thought that this would be perfect for my skateboard triptych. I edited the top image to have a yellowish tone to match the bottom two. The picture does not have spacing between the images to show a better transition.

Triptych
In this triptych I tried to show a transition from tree bark to brick. The middle image was the perfect transition because it had characteristics resembling both the bark and the brick. I flipped the first image horizontally so that the triptych has more flow.

Diptych
These are two images that I combined to show a diptych. The one on the left is not showing what is on the other side, while the one on the right clearly lets you see what is behind the fence. I tried to show that some places let you see what they really are while others try to keep things a secret, not revealing what is on the other side.

Contrast in Texture
This image has a contrast in texture, between the vertical bark of the tree, and the horizontal bricks. I did not make any color edits to this image, the colors have a natural sence of blending with one another. If you look at the middle of the photo you will see a line of contrast between the vertical tree and the horizontal brick.

Contrast in Scale
This Image shows a contrast in scale, the lego mini figure seems tiny in comparison to the Millennium Falcon. I chose to make the image black and white so that everything blends with one another, and no contrast in colors are revealed.

Contrast in Color
The individual red LEGO brick on the black LEGO background shows a contrast in color. When seeing this image, your eyes will immediately jump to the red LEGO brick, avoiding the surrounding black LEGO pieces. The surrounding bricks are also slightly faded, and red brick is clearer to see.

Kaleidoscope
This is a kaleidoscope of leaves. When you see the image your eyes will have a tendency of being naturally dragged into the middle of the kaleidoscope. There is also a sense of a rainbow because of the red, yellow, orange, green, and blue colors.

Kaleidoscope
This kaleidoscope was takes at the courtyard by chipotle, the original picture was of a plant growing on a metalic fence structure. Out of the four edits which I have made, this kaleidoscope appeared most interesting to me. If you look closely, the design resembles that of a butterfly.

Kaleidoscope
This is a kaleidoscope which I took at the beach. The image shows four edited and cropped pictures of the sky. The tones you see however where not edited, the way the sun illuminates the clouds is completely natural and no changes where made to the colors.
